A CAT IN THE STEEL PLANT

This story was born from a simple truth I have witnessed over the years: even in the harshest environments - where molten steel flows like rivers of fire and men battle exhaustion daily - kindness can still bloom. The idea first came to me while listening to real workers from various steel plants share stories of stray animals they had quietly adopted and protected inside factory premises. Their tenderness in the middle of such brutality moved me deeply.
A Cat in the Steel Plant is entirely a work of fiction. All characters, events, and situations are products of my imagination. However, the emotional core - the silent compassion of ordinary laborers, the complex relationship between humans and animals, and the hidden pains people carry - is deeply rooted in the realities of industrial life in India.
I have deliberately woven light and darkness together in this narrative. You will find cruelty, trauma, and revenge, but you will also find unexpected gentleness, redemption, laughter, and hope. Through the journey of one small kitten, I wanted to explore how a fragile life can touch hardened hearts and quietly transform the people around it.
