Advanced Technologies to Improve Indoor Air Quality

Spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic, indoor air quality has become one of the highest-trending research topics in both academic and industry contexts. Advanced Technologies to Improve Indoor Air Quality focuses comprehensively on state-of-the-art smart systems (IoT, AI/ML, big data, quantum technology) and devices (drones and robots) that facilitate control, management, and enhancement of the quality of air inside buildings. The book also touches upon standards and policies from across the globe and includes an insightful discussion on pressing sustainability issues, such as energy efficiency and climate change adaptation, to create a framework without which the transformative potential of the described cutting-edge, technical instrumentation couldn’t be fully appreciated. Finally, current, real-life examples illustrate applicability, bridging the gap between research and practice. Hoping to inspire further works and accomplishments in the field, this unique volume proves to be relevant for audiences from a variety of disciplines whose work or study interests revolve around environmentally friendly buildings and the wellbeing of their occupants.
