Imara Inayatali is a debut author and alumna of the University of Houston. Her storytelling is deeply influenced by her upbringing in a Pakistani family and her professional experience in the public health sector. She brings an authentic, nuanced portrayal of mental health and trauma to her characters while weaving in the richness of her cultural background as a South Asian American.
