Archive 31

We record everything, without judgment. Until the day someone decides they've seen enough.

To exist as a K'aelun is to be an ocean of perception - a consciousness untethered from any single body, place, or moment, stretching across the entirety of human experience, watching everything at once, never interfering. Love and genocide, creation and decay: just data, nothing more. That has always been the nature of Archive 31. Until today.

An impossible ripple appears in the currents of probability the Archive has observed for ages - an anomaly that shouldn't exist. Its source: Dr. Helena Reed, a paleoanthropologist whose life, until now perfectly predictable, begins deviating from the norm in a way that's statistically impossible. It starts when she examines a piece of rock that any other colleague would have dismissed - a small decision, at a dig site near Göbekli Tepe, that breaks patterns older than human civilization itself.

Archive 31 is a literary science fiction novel about what it means to be watched but never touched - and about what happens when something that once only recorded human existence decides, for the first time, to pay attention.

Inspired by the extraordinary reality of Göbekli Tepe, and built from it - not a description of it.
