So who's Yoelin Thibbony? That's what she calls herself now. She endured a cruel and abusive childhood, when there was no one to rescue her. Now she performs Rescues of children, people or things-sometimes for hire, sometimes for free.  

In defeating a long-game conspiracy to take over Corporatia, Yoelin was compelled to leave a loose end. Now she finds that the conspiracy is not only still active, but is vaster than she had imagined-and the conspirators want their revenge!

A strange communication from an unidentified source that requests a Rescue leads Yoelin into a trap, where she encounters a nemesis from her past as a Special Security Operative. Circumstances compel her to take him aboard the Sequana, but as an ally or an enemy, she remains uncertain. His subsequent erratic behavior fails to clarify his role, and she must remain on guard.

Meanwhile, Abnoba, the Sequana's computer, becomes an entity unparalleled in the history of computers. Maybe Abby can save the day...at a terrible cost. But that cost pales in significance beside the betrayal Yoelin has to confront in her family. If she can survive that...but does she want to?
