In September 2012, sixteen members of the Amish community in Bergholz, Ohio, were sentenced to federal prison for the hair- and beard-cutting crimes committed against members of other Amish communities. Linda Shrock, a daughter of the Bergholz community leader, listened quietly as the judge read her sentence. Six months later and hundreds of miles from home, Linda entered prison in Waseca, Minnesota.
