Desert Disciples

How often do we realize that our desert moments are leading us to

where we need to be? All of us at one point have experienced that sense

of wilderness wandering in our lives. That place of grief, loss, lone-

liness, lack of purpose, or deep ache for more. What if those deserts

didn't have to be a waste? What if they were the very roads that led to

a deeper life?

This book follows the journeys of several biblical sojourners on

their own desert journeys. It explores how the wilderness often reveals

both to them and to us what we worship, what our purpose is, and the

communities that shape us. One lesson each of these travelers learned,

however, was that in order to navigate the diffi cult terrain, they needed

a guide.

The good news is, there is a shepherd who can lead us. By following
