This book has been written for the diverse audience, who has strong intrinsic approach to develop digital library software based on simple open source environment. The present work offers a preliminary approach to develop digital library software on LAMP architecture. Such an effort to develop a digital library based on LAMP architecture makes it possible to easily integrate with any software which uses LAMP architecture and requires a few basic modules of digital library to be incorporated. The book includes initial studies of functions of open source digital library software. The book also includes integration of MySQL, PHP with HTML/CSS. It is implemented using LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP/Perl/Python) architecture on Ubuntu operating system. The programming files and source code also included in the Appendix part of the book, which gives insight to develop simple digital library software. Although all the standard functions which lies in various digital library software is not included but an effort is made to incorporate basic functionality such as cataloging, searching, browsing , modification/deletion and adding full text.
