In ihrem Roman lässt die Autorin Gedankenspiele wie Prosagedichte aufeinander folgen und verwebt sie mit phantasiereichen Einfällen und Anspielungen auf Zeitgenossen, wie z.B. den Verleger Kurt Wolff oder den Schriftsteller Salomo Friedländer.
