Praise for Frederick Ramsay's Jerusalem Mysteries... "If there's any complaint to be made about the book, it's that it's too short." -Booklist of Judas It's 28 CE. A servant girl is found in the baths of the palace of King Herod Antipas, her throat cut. Jerusalem is abuzz over the death of John the Baptizer, and Prefect Pontius Pilate wants no more trouble. So he coerces Gamaliel, chief rabbi and head of the Sanhedrin, into investigating the death. Gamaliel is a Talmudic scholar, not a sleuth. But he soon begins to fit the evidence together. The entwined histories of Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, Herod the Great, Anthony, and Augustus Caesar suddenly gain relevance. And all the while, an itinerant rabbi from Nazareth moves in the background.... Frederick Ramsay is a retired Episcopal priest, academic, and now author who lives in Arizona with his wife of thirty years, Susan. www.frederickramsay.com
