The history of Porsche begins electrically: in 1893 Ferdinand Porsche brought the future to his parents' house with a lighting system. In 1898, he designed his first electric vehicle with rear-wheel drive. His steerable wheel hub drive, which he presented in 1900 in a Lohner Porsche electric vehicle in Paris, was marketable.
