Employee relations (ER) are profoundly affected by the nature of the markets in which firms compete. If management employee relations are a workplace attribute, one would expect a high degree of agreement about the state of those relations in a particular workplace, and one would expect workplace attributes to be important in explaining variation in those perceptions.
