Das Varieté enthält aufgrund seiner eigenen aufreibenden Historie ein hohes Maß an freiheitlichem Denken und Handeln, das eine ausgeprägte Basis für neue Theaterformen bieten könnte, auch die des totalen Entertainments. Um das Wesen dieses Genre und dessen Potenzial für neue Theaterformen zu verstehen, muss der Entstehungsprozess, der während der industriellen Revolution stattfand ausführlich erläutert werden. Anhand von Gesprächen mit Mitwirkenden der Palazzo Produktionen GmbH, als auch mit unabhängigen Künstlern und Künstlerinnen, welche die Produktion, Dramaturgie und Darstellung von modernem Varietétheater betreffen, ergibt sich ein breites Bild von kontemporären Ansichten zur Belegung, der auf theoretischem Wege konzipierten Thesen.
