Faikon Brockvig-now a true Captain of the Watch-stands at the edge of his destiny. Armed with a long-lost gnomish spellbook and a legendary elven blade that sings of pure static, he must lead his disciplined young vanguard northwest into the jagged, freezing peaks of Ossforn. He is marching to finish the war his father died fighting exactly sixteen years to the day.

But the board is violently shifting. As the home front battles a mutated mutant horde back in the valley, a colossal draconic rebellion shattered the world's leylines, plunging the skies into a strange, pink twilight. Locked deep within the frozen moraine of the Frost-Spire-Rifts, Faikon's missing uncle is running out of time. A cataclysmic Counter-Sigil-the Fifth Great Tether-is tightening around the glaciers, threatening to bury his family and his history under a mountain of ice forever.

To save his kin, Faikon must thread the needle between twin towers of basalt and quartz, forging an impossible grand alliance with ancient elven phalanxes, rugged outlaws, and the legendary, scale-brushed dragon-kin of Stoneveil.
