Kat Saunders has always lived life by her own set of rules. A highly successful thief she only steals what she's been paid to steal and never from those who can't afford it. A loner by nature she has few people in her life she would call a friend, having learnt early on that trust was something rarely earned and far too easily broken. So when she finds her closest friend, Professor Markson, murdered in his own home she knows she can't just let it go.

With Markson's estranged son by her side they begin to unravel the mystery of why the Professor was killed and why someone will stop at nothing to find the treasure he was hiding. Dragged into a world of violence and danger Kat has to use all of her skills as a thief to keep one step ahead, because one false move could prove deadly.

Fighting Shadows is fast-paced action filled adventure with a hint of romance and a dash of humour. It's the first novel in the Kat Saunders series that follows the adventures of a feisty heroine who doesn't much care what the rest of the world thinks.
