Langrangian formulation is introduced and explicit and implicit solutions are presented. Numerical algorithms are implemented in computer programs to simulate industrial applications such as metal-forming processes and crashworthiness analysis of automobiles. This book is strongly engineering oriented and contains much new work and analysis based on practical experience which will make it invaluable to engineers, researchers and students.
