In dieser Novelle berührt Turgenjew die Welt des Übersinnlichen, dabei kommt sein tiefer Glaube an die Möglichkeit anderer Welten zum Vorschein. Der ursprüngliche Titel dieser Novelle lautete Nach dem Tode , doch es schien ihm zu spiritistisch zu sein und er änderte ihn später in Klara Militsch ab. §Zweisprachige Ausgabe.
