Chr.) war die letzte Herrscherin des Ptolemäerreiches in Ägypten und zugleich die letzte Pharaonin. Zunächst Geliebte Caesars und nach dessen Ermordung mit Marcus Antonius liiert, gelang es ihr nicht, die Unabhängigkeit Ägyptens von Rom zu bewahren. Nach der Bürgerkriegsniederlage von Marcus Antonius gegen Octavian, den späteren Kaiser August, beging sie in poltisch und militärisch auswegloser Lage Selbstmord durch einen Schlangenbiss.
