A Conflict Thriller in Northern Mozambique

Northern Mozambique is burning.

Al Shabaab insurgents sweep through Cabo Delgado, and the coastal city of Pemba becomes the final refuge for civilians, contractors, and foreign operatives desperate to escape a war few truly understand. Former nazis hiding in Namibia are part of a network channeling blood diamonds from Palma and Pemba to the coast and onwards to Rotterdam, and legitimacy.

Help is received from an unlikely source, a Rhodesian former war hero operating a fishing lodge on the Zambezi, with the help of a band of discarded soldiers, they aim to break the insurgency and disrupt the flow of diamonds. Meanwhile, a reporter gets wind of the action and chases the story, only to discover that he is actually the story.

Evacuation flights are announced - then cancelled - while rumours spread of hidden diamond deals, missing redwood cargo, and powerful interests determined to control the region's vast natural gas wealth - a deadly pursuit by those with secrets tied to corporate ambition, political compromise, and long-forgotten trade networks along Africa's eastern coast and Europe's banking gentry.

As insurgents advance and foreign interests maneuver behind diplomatic language. Caught between loyalty, survival, and truth, those aboard the last flight from Pemba must decide what they are willing to leave behind - and what they are prepared to expose to the world. Escape comes at a price.

And once the aircraft lifts off, not everyone will arrive safely.
