Auf der Grundlage eines gesprächsanalytisch aufgearbeiteten Korpus authentischer Gespräche nähert sich der Autor einem alltagssprachlichen Phänomen unter gesprächstrukturellen, soziolinguistischen und funktionalen Gesichtspunkten. Dabei stellt sich heraus: das Lästern ist ein komplexes Ineinander verschiedener Gesprächs- und Erzählmuster, das wir als SprecherInnen als eine Art Skript im Alltag beherrschen und anwenden.
