A Lesson Learned is an urban novel based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. People immediately imagine the glim and glam of the bright lights of Las Vegas, or how it earned its well-known nickname, "Sin City." However, contrary to popular belief, there are real people with real lives and drama in the Las Vegas Valley. Just a few miles away from the Las Vegas strip. Mykahl (Meechie) Jameson and Brittany Williams meet at UNLV and become fast friends. From opposite sides of the spectrum, Brittany takes Meechie under her wing to show her the "good life," opposed to the project life that Meechie is used to. One night, they go to a new hot spot, Washington Avenue, after Meechie catches her boyfriend in the act..and they bump into Mackenzie Jasper. Meechie quickly shows her interest in this tall, dark and handsome specimen of a man, and Brittany quickly shows her disapproval. As the relationship between Meechie and Mack grows, the possibility of a dark secret may be revealed.
