When Limbani arrived at ZWF Miami, he was just a baby chimpanzee who needed to be rescued and cared for in order to survive. What no one imagined was that, while we were fighting to save him, he would also end up saving a part of me.

At that time, I was going through a deep personal breakup. I felt lost, trying to rebuild my life and find meaning in a future that seemed uncertain. Then Limbani appeared. With his strength, his tenderness, and his extraordinary ability to trust, he taught me one of the most important lessons I have ever learned: even after the hardest moments, life always offers a second chance.

Told from my personal experience as a caregiver and co-owner of ZWF Miami, this is a true story about resilience, love, and the unique bond that can form between humans and animals. It is also a reminder of the importance of protecting wildlife and understanding that every species has immense value that deserves to be preserved.
