Was kann ein solches System heute im Vergleich zum Menschen leisten? Im vorliegenden Band wird ein umfassender Vergleich zwischen der Leistung des Lecture Translator und der Leistung von Humandolmetschern vorgestellt. Eine Auswertung erfolgt anhand einer Rezipientenbefragung, einer Zieltextanalyse und eines Ausgangstext-Zieltext-Vergleichs vor dem Hintergrund translationswissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse.
