The Keepers is a dystopian reality novelette about survival, motherhood and the cost of hope.
In a world where a community is rounded up, worryingly segregated and forced to reproduce, freedom is nothing more than a distant memory. Bea has learned to survive the Keepers and the cruel world they've created. But when her son Eli is born, survival is no longer enough. Desperate to protect her boy, Bea will risk everything to keep him close.
But in a world where the Keepers control everything, some truths are better left undiscovered.
The Keepers is a dark and unsettling story about captivity, motherhood and the lengths one mother will go to save her child. Although this is a work of fiction, elements of the story are inspired by real events. Real practices and experiences are explored throughout, but have been dramatised and reimagined for the purposes of the story.
