My Shadow Has Paws

Leah went looking for Halloween treats. She came home with muddy paws, a wagging tail, and a whole lot of trouble!

When something stirs in the bushes, Princess Leah thinks she has found a Halloween monster. Instead, she discovers a frightened black puppy who needs a little help and a place to call home.

Meet Shadow. Expert shoe chewer. Champion sofa jumper. Professional cat annoyer.

From a bath that splashes everyone to muddy paw prints in all the wrong places, life with Shadow is anything but quiet. With patience, practice, and plenty of love, Leah helps her mischievous puppy become her loyal best friend. By next Halloween, this princess has a furry knight beside her!

My Shadow Has Paws pairs playful rhymes and colorful illustrations with a funny, heartwarming journey of growth, patience, love, and companionship. Alongside the laughter and muddy paws, children learn that caring for a dog takes patience, kindness, and a commitment to helping their furry friend stay happy, healthy, and safe.

Inspired by a real dog named Mocha, the book includes a special final page where readers can meet the dog behind Shadow.

A cozy read aloud for bedtime, Halloween, or any child who dreams of a four legged friend.
