Jad makes his living finding the right words for other people. Wedding speeches, apologies, declarations of love-he knows how to make almost anyone sound sincere. What he is less certain of is how to tell the truth about himself.

Salma makes her living listening. A sound archivist devoted to saving disappearing voices, she has little patience for beautiful words that conceal more than they reveal.
