Redemption, a post-apocalyptic story of the MacBrayne family as they struggle to survive and form a community of neighbors after a world changing Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). Ewan MacBrayne, a Deputy Warden at a state Department of Correction Work Release Facility, struggles with his duty to the facility versus his responsibility to his family. Ewan is at work when the CME occurs and must decide what to do with the residents and staff with no direction from his chain of command. Ewan is a prepper and has previously studied the effects of a CME. This enables him to realize what has happened and that there is no coming back to normal from it. His desire to get home to his family wrestles with his sense of duty to the DOC. The book covers four months after the event.
