Steve Demo nick, former bass player for the hair metal band, Glam Metal, is brooding. He feels trapped by his relationship, trapped in New York City. He needs to get away and clear his head. To find himself.

On the beautiful island of Martinique, Steve relaxes and slowly begins to unwind and put life into perspective. He meets Claire, a beautiful interior designer with a grudge against him. They seem to argue every time they meet.

Steve calls his old bandmate, who encourages him to visit LA, his old playground. He agrees and when he returns to LA, he discovers that GM Jay has been busy organising the reunion of Glam Metal. Reluctantly, Steve returns to the band and they go on tour.

But Steve is still brooding and hasn't fully come to terms with the death of his girlfriend, several years earlier on board the yacht in Acapulco.

As Steve enters a mire of cheating, drinking and playing hair metal, he gradually recognises that he needs help...
