Cain Martin felt nothing. No joy. No grief. No reason to wake up in the morning. So he stepped off a rooftop and let gravity do the rest.

But death wasn't the end. It was the beginning of a nightmare he never saw coming.

The God of Hell-bored, sardonic, and dangerously amused-offers Cain a deal no one in their right mind would accept: descend through eighteen levels of personalized torment, survive monsters forged from his own memories, and earn the right to live again. Fail, and he becomes part of Hell's foundation. Forever.

His class: Hollow. Cursed to feel nothing, attracting horrors that feed on emptiness.

His allies: Strangers who will come and go-some will fight beside him, some will die for him, and all will teach him what it means to be human.

His only constant: A voice in the dark. A woman bound to Hell who knows secrets the system doesn't want him to find.

To survive, Cain must learn to craft weapons from the wreckage of his past. To win, he must learn to craft his soul from the fragments of hope, grief, and connection he thought he'd lost forever.

The Gauntlet has eighteen levels. Each one will test his strength, his mind, and his heart. And at the bottom, a choice awaits:

Level up. Or die again.
