Jeffrey's life is great. It is quiet, structured, and in a word-boring. He has good friends, a great job, and a nonexistent love life. That is all about to change with a lone bike ride and a chance meeting along the Chicago lakefront. Jeffrey's life is instantly placed on the dating fast track and takes him a bit by surprise. Sweet is set in the city of Chicago. Peter and Jeffrey embark on a dating adventure filled with all the dating anxiety and high school giddiness. They are playful and quirky in their interaction. Once they calm down and allow things to take their natural course, they slip into an easy rhythm of being a couple. Their relationship is not without challenges and a stumbling block or two, but they manage to prevail. Yet there is one event they are not able to overcome, and Jeffrey is left standing alone again asking for answers.
