Und welche Textteile gehören dazu? Um diese Fragen zu beantworten, muss man sowohl ästhetische Texte als auch Gebrauchstexte aller Kommunikationsformen und -bereiche untersuchen. Entsprechend heterogen sind die Zugänge und Methoden zur Analyse der Einstiegsphasen und -elemente von Texten. In diesem Band reicht das Spektrum von sprachwissenschaftlichen Beschreibungstechniken (z. B. textlinguistischen, korpuspragmatischen und stilistischen) über literaturwissenschaftliche (z. B. Autoren- oder Epochenstile) bis hin zu sprachdidaktischen (z. B. Textproduktionsroutinen).
