The Cyberdelic Kernel v1.0 is both a manifesto and an artwork: a small book imagining how we might inhabit digital worlds with greater agency, care, and freedom.
It begins with a problem woven into everyday life. Much of contemporary software is built to harvest attention, turn private experience into marketable data, and keep people engaged. These systems shape what we see and how we encounter one another, while giving us little say in the worlds we help create. The Kernel asks a political and philosophical question: what principles would let us build those worlds differently?
Thirteen verbs offer the beginnings of an answer. Together, they describe software shaped by intention, privacy, accountable intelligence, and the cultivation of shared reality across difference. The aim is to deepen our capacity to understand, create, and care, then return us to the physical world with more agency than we brought in.
The book makes its own material visible, moving from readable prose to source notation, blockchain provenance, and a continuous field of hexadecimal typography. Its canonical text is inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain as a deliberate act of public memory. This paper edition carries that moment forward as an artifact in an evolving lineage.
It is an invitation to find a place for yourself in a territory still being imagined: carry what speaks to you, question what seems wrong, and build what you can.
