Widower and father Gary Weber pretends to have life together, but he has a secret that he can't shake. When his niece Karen makes her way into his life, his secret becomes a crisis.

Gary Weber, a widower and father of two older children, strives to maintain an appearance of normalcy. Internally though, Gary struggles with a deep-seated issue he had kept to himself. While he fights to maintain his all-together façade, his niece, Karen, enters his orderly life wreaking havoc and exacerbating his inner turmoil. Street smart and incredibly persuasive, Karen easily manipulates the people around her, including her boyfriend, who becomes reliant on her.

Keren's invincibility shatters when she lets her guard down. As a result, she encounters a delusional character that will disrupt her plans and change the course of her life. 

As Gary's issues escalate into a crisis, and Karen is left in disarray, they both must face the dark truth and find the strength to endure.
