In a city where grief is erased for profit, remembering is the ultimate act of rebellion.

Jonas Albright is the Mnemonic Institute's top cartographer, surgically pruning traumatic memories from the minds of the elite. To the corporate spires, he is a model of clinical detachment. In secret, he is a man hollowed out by guilt, siphoning unauthorized server cycles in a desperate, forbidden attempt to reconstruct the digital ghost of his dead sister, Iris.

His double life shatters when Director Vivian Sterling discovers his theft. The price for his freedom-and Iris's survival-is an emergency acquisition: Jonas must dive into the dying, labyrinthine mind of Vivian's estranged father, Gideon Sterling, the legendary architect who hard-coded the city's foundational power grid directly into his own neural pathways. If Gideon dies without an extraction, the lower districts will freeze in total darkness. But if the Institute forces a brute-force harvest, his mind will detonate.

To reach the architect's fortress of memory, Jonas descends to the flooded industrial underbelly of the city, where he collides with Kira Sterling-Gideon's fierce, cynical granddaughter. Armed with scrap-yard tools, analog dampeners, and unyielding defiance, Kira refuses to let corporate vultures hollow out the man who raised her.

Forced into an uneasy alliance, Jonas and Kira build a jury-rigged bridge between clinical diamond processors and raw analog coils. Together, they plunge into a collapsing subconscious of recursive trauma, mutual grief, and weaponized regrets. But as Vivian's tactical gunships close in on the salvage yard, Jonas discovers a devastating truth: Gideon's grid wasn't built to be controlled. It was built to be set free.

With the clock running down, Jonas must make an impossible choice: surrender the keys to save his sister's ghost, or burn the master map to ignite the living world.
