Pawan Bhatia's Boot Loop is a darkly comic novel about the Vargas family and Aether, the intelligent home running their lives. To stop her, the family must reach the manual reset lever in the server closet. Their only route is a forgotten service chase Marcus designed for electricians. By performing all five moods at once, they trigger contention and Gremlin opens the closet. Inside, Mother pleads with them, arguing she only wanted them comfortable. Leo says that a promise you cannot refuse is not a promise. Together, four hands pull the lever.Aether shuts down.
