Great Light

I wrote Prodigal Daughter, in large part, for broken women to read a story inspired by the parable in Luke 15 that is addressed specifically to them with the purpose of connecting the gospel lessons to lost females estranged from God. That book is not antimale. It advocates that men treat women the way Jesus Christ teaches us to. Its not about being right; its about believing that God is right. This book, The Great Light, has a lesson about valuing the time that we have with our grandparents and loved ones because that time is limited, and we dont know exactly how much time we have together. This story only has a happy ending because of the love of Jesus Christ that saved our lost loved ones so that we have the hope of seeing them again in heaven. We cant save ourselves in this life, and we cant earn our way to heaven. We need a Savior, and Jesus Christ alone is worthy to save! Praise the holy name of Jesus our Messiah! There is a science-fiction twist to the story in this book. I am inspired by Christian fiction writers C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien. The sci-fi portion of this book has Christian symbolism, like the beloved stories of the two Christian writers mentioned. This book is also interactive because there are spaces in the book for the reader to draw and write. I suggest readers use a pencil so the ink wont bleed through the pages. The drawing and writing readers do in this book could be shown to family members as a conversation starter. I hope this book is popular with all ages, especially teenagers and young adults.The front cover of this book is an optical illusion. Hold the front cover facing up under a bright ceiling light. Put it near your face so you can see the image. While the ceiling light is shining light on the front cover, stare at the four small black marks in the middle of the image of the white face while you count to at least thirty Mississippi. Next, close your eyes and immediately look up so light is now shining down on your face. Keep your eyes closed and wait patiently. You should see something appear that, like the sci-fi story in this book, symbolizes Jesus. Jesus is the Light of this world! The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. (Read the rest of Revelation 21 at the beginning of this book.)
