Media without ethics

The painful reality we live in confirms beyond any doubt that we are experiencing media chaos, in addition to general moral chaos. The media forcefully imposes its conditions and operates without controls or standards, to the point that most of our media, from satellite channels to newspapers, has become unethical and a playground for opportunists, imposters, and those unqualified in media, journalism, and perhaps even ethics. It's also a breeding ground for the unemployed and those seeking personal gain-the unscrupulous and dishonest-who practice lies, cheap hypocrisy, and empty sensationalism. They excel at applauding and praising every regime throughout history, and they infiltrate the media field through favoritism and mutually beneficial relationships. The media profession has become a haven for those with no other profession. Anyone who retires from football rushes to talk shows to present a sports program or analyze a football match, driven by the desire for a quick buck! Another prominent lawyer hosts a program on a satellite channel, and yet another, a member of parliament, also hosts a popular program on a satellite channel, in addition to owning a newspaper funded by Arab sources, to which he devotes most of his time, neglecting the issues facing the nation and its people. There are actors who have turned to hosting political talk shows and occasionally offering political analysis, not to mention chefs entering the media field and becoming public figures. Then there are the security-affiliated journalists and media personalities who ascend the ladder of false fame with meteoric speed due to their cooperation with security agencies, among other negative phenomena in our society. This underscores the necessity for media outlets, particularly newspapers, websites, and news outlets, to adhere to their social and ethical responsibility within society by closely monitoring practices, observing behavior, and enforcing binding regulations, lest our media become devoid of ethics!
