David Schmoeller writes and directs this horror starring Klaus Kinski. When Lori Bancroft (Talia Balsam) moves into a new apartment, her landlord Gunther (Kinski) shows her around. Gunther, although seemingly pleasant on the outside, harbours inner demons which stem from his days as a young boy watching his father, a doctor at Dachau concentration camp, torture and kill innocent people. Gunther takes pleasure in self-harm but also in watching others suffer, frequently capturing his tenants and removing their tongues so they cannot speak.
