The field of computer communication networks is growing at a rapid pace due to significant contributions from various researchers and industries. Over the two decades, world has witnessed a shift from wired communications to wireless communications that provides connectivity any where, any time, and any place. Next generation wired/wireless networks are promising varieties of quality services across heterogeneous network service providers ranging from voice communications to high speed computing applications. However, there are many issues pertaining to next generation wired and wireless networks. Some of them are quality of service routing, security, media access, interference, resource management, mobility management, multimedia delivery, etc. Computer Networks provides research directions in all types of computer networks covering research challenges such as, security in wired/wireless networks, mobility management in 4G networks, routing in wireless and high speed networks, wired/wireless multimedia communications, performance analysis of WLAN and WMAN, quantum cryptography, game theory in wireless networks, mobile agents in MANETs, physical layer communications, interference in WLAN and WMAN, ATM networks and web mining.
