Der Autor zeigt in seiner autobiographisch gefärbten Geschichte eindrucksvoll, wie ein außergewöhnlicher, junger Sportler zwischen ehrgeizigen Trainern und skrupellosen Funktionären zerrieben wird und der Mensch schließlich auf der Strecke bleibt.
