The modern world is at once exciting, complicated, ridiculous, confusing, and tedious, but ever changing and always fascinating. Based on his keen observations of daily life from his unique perspective, French artist Jean Jullien uncovers the humor and simple beauty that exists in the people, places, and things that surround him. Understanding that visual communication can often be the most direct and immediately understood, Jean Jullien cleverly and candidly reveals in his artwork the hilarious realities and universal truths of human behavior and modern life that connect us all. Seamlessly transcending the boundaries of commercial art and graphic illustration, his bold and playful drawing and painting style has attracted a diverse range of clients and delighted everyday fans of his comic and irreverent sensibility all over the world. In addition to his successful body of work, his wonderfully creative daily postings of his art on his very popular Instagram are his musings of the moment whether mini objets d art, found art enhanced by silly doodles, or sketchbook drawings. teNeues is proud to present the first monograph of this young and talented artist, Jean Jullien: Modern Life.
