Murder Takes the Reins

Willie Adams is looking forward to a fun weekend. She's back at the Equestrian Center to show her new horse and hang out with her new boyfriend. On her first day there, her horse gets an abscess and can't be shown. On the second day, her boyfriend breaks up with her because his ex-wife has reappeared, wanting to "be a better wife this time." On the third day, the ex-wife is dead and Willie is accused of her murder.

What's a girl to do, except have spite sex with a handsome detective, then prove she wasn't just using him for an alibi?

Tyler Ransome's ex-wife Missy is a drugged-out mean girl who has been through rehab and swears she's changed. Except she hasn't and is already manipulating Tyler and bullying Willie. Heartbroken and angry, Willie runs into Lucas Macy, a detective she's got history with. Despite their incredible chemistry, Willie turned him down for a relationship with Tyler. Now that Tyler has returned to his ex, Willie invites Lucas back to her hotel room, spends the night having fabulous and fiery "spicy time," then regrets her choices. When Missy is been murdered the night before, Willie is accused both of the crime and of sleeping with Lucas as an alibi. She is naturally incensed and vows to solve the murder herself. What follows are dangerous games, one of physical peril with the killer, and one risking her heart as she begins to question her feelings for the detective. As she works to clear her name, can Willie figure out what she wants in life and love?
